Introduction
The various L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon around the world are inspired by the counters of Japanese sushi restaurants where the chef works in front of you and the Spanish tapas cuisine where you have multiple small dishes so that you can taste a variety of flavours and dishes. Joël Robuchon merged both those concepts into his line of restaurants that globally follow this concept. And he must be doing something right because he is the most Michelin starred chef in the world with an impressive 32 Michelin stars.

Review
After graduating in 2017 from university, I celebrated with my parents and friend at Joël Robuchon in London. My first experience at one of his restaurants dates back to 2012 when during a trip to Paris I had been to his restaurant L’Atelier Etoile de Joël Robuchon, and after that experience had always wanted to go back to one of his restaurants. Let me say that the dining experience in London did not disappoint me, and the quality was maintained 5 years onwards in a different country. We had the “Menu Prestige”, which is an 8-course tasting menu offered at £149 per person (plus 12.5% discretionary service charge). If chosen, all diners at the table are required to eat this menu.
(Please note that the menu has undergone minor changes between July 2017 and the writing of this post. The current menu is depicted here, with the photos depicting the menu in July 2017)
